Lufenia orb

  • Appears at fight start (count: 10)
  • Never disappears
  • Increases by +6 (limit: 15) when player evades an attack
  • Increases by +1 (limit: 15) when that enemy receives an attack that ignores DEF
  • To uptick the orb, you need to either evade the boss attacks or deal DEF-ignoring damage to keep the counter frozen. Units with Ignore DEF counters like Shadow, Auron, Beatrix and Eight are great options. Units with 100% dodge are so good here that even those without LDs are featured in some of the runs (e.g. Cater, Edge)

Boss Mechanics

OBJECT 199

0%HP (on both nodes)

Focus damage on the CPU. If you kill the nodes first, the CPU will use Object 199 where it will cleanse all its debuffs (silver frames included), dispel all your buffs (frames included), set your party’s current HP to 1 & inflict 3T MAX HP Down debuff with an instant turn.
After that, the boss will use Regenerate which will summon the nodes (grants them 300% DEF Up and 70% BRV dmg reduction, 90% BRV gain reduction for your team). It also dispels the gold aura & framed turns (immunity to delay and turn deletion)


Attack Node [A]

Piercing Laser+ (target :all: )

– inflicts :debuff_generic_framed: 3T ATK -50%, :debuff_generic_framed: 3T DEF -50%, :debuff_generic_framed: 3T SPD -20%


Defense Node [C]

Heal+ (target :group_self: )
– Grants party 20% of its MAX BRV.
– Heals 5% of their HP (375K for Nodes, 900k for the CPU)
– Grants :buff_generic_framed: 5T SPD Up, :buff_generic_framed: 5T Turn Rate Up & :buff_generic_framed: 5T BRV Regen


ORB HANDLERS

Start

To make the orb counter go up, you need to give boss turns to evade their attack. The three main approaches are:
– Bring an evasion unit on your main team, like Shadow, Prompto, Galuf, Eight, Jack, Edward, Edge or Cater.
– Bring an evasion-granting Call, like Cater (70%), Shadow (60%) or Edge (80%).


BLINDNESS

a.k.a. “Reverse Dodging”

When an enemy misses due to blindness, it also counts as your character “dodging” for this orb. The main sources for this debuff are:
Kimahri (100% on EX debuff), Vaan (50% from White Whorl), Wakka (50% from Dark Attack), Kefka (50% from Trine), Relm (50% from Sketch).
