These guides are only released at least one day after the event has launched, because they are based on first-hand experience from testing and beating the fight with different team comps and strategies. And that takes a good amount of time!

79% | -40% | -85% | DEF+300%, MAX BRV 175,00 |

Lufenia orb
- Appears after the first form splits (count: 10)
- Disappears after the orb is triggered
- Reappears after 10 player or boss actions
- Disappears forever at 19% HP
- Orb is not guaranteed death, but casts Snow In causing strong field effects (check below).
- Increases by +1 (limit: 10) when that enemy takes Fire damage
- Strong Fire elemental attackers: Jecht, Lann & Reynn & Vivi. Good Fire enchant calls: Ignis LDCA (3T aura), Lulu CA (6T buff). Ifrit summon can help too.
Boss Mechanics
RESIST VEIL (WHITE AURA)
79% | 49% | 29%
A 1 million HP shield appears on a Shiva if they break you. At 79%/49%/29% HP they will deal a guaranteed break on your whole team with Diamond Dust Divine, so you can’t avoid dealing with this shield a few times.
Only one Shiva can have the shield active at a time. If the other one breaks you, nothing happens.
DIAMOND DUST DIVINE (RECAST)
79% | 49% | 29% |
Inflicts BREAK (creating the HP shield if one is not currently active), then does a guaranteed hit attack.
Gains 3T Frozen Crystals (MAX BRV Up 20%), inflicts 2T INT BRV Down 30%.
Causes Icebind (your party’s actions are frozen, including counters, until the Shiva takes a turn).
Causes the Frost field effect and uses Icicle End as her next attack (see below).
Frost field effect:
Absorbs all elements except .
Immune to turn deletion (framed turns).
This effect ends after 10 actions (player or enemy).
Icile End: BRV gain followed by attack. Your party is unfrozen after that.
SNOW IN (LUFENIA ORB)
| 19%
+ attack, reduces duration of current debuffs by 2. Applies Ice Crystals on your team (see below). Even if you have kept the orb counter up the whole fight, each Shiva will cast this at 19% HP.
Ice Crystals field effect: ATK -60%, BRV damage -20%, BRV/HP dmg on launch -100%.
After 10 actions (player or enemy), this effect ends and the Lufenia Orb reappears.
Rules for dealing with Divine Shiva
(credits to ScottOng and his countless hours watching Shiva kills)
1. Don’t get broken unnecessarily
Shiva will enact Resist Veil (1 million HP shield) whenever it breaks a target. You cannot avoid it when the recast ability triggers, but avoid breaks outside of that. Warrior of Light is great for this.
2. Keep their BRV low
Bring BRV controllers for the fight. Shiva doesn’t cleanse debuffs, apart from lowering the duration of current debuffs with their Lufenia Orb attack. Recommended BRV controllers: Arciela (preferably as a call), Setzer and Ace.
3. Off-turn damage is King here
Ace and Cloud of Darkness are premium units for their off-turn damage here, since the turn count is very tight for a fight with so many mechanics. Abuse their mechanic with turn spammers like Jecht, Tidus, Terra, and Vayne.
4. Keep both bosses’ turns and HP close
Try to trigger both Shivas’ turns together at the same time, ESPECIALLY when nearing the 79/49/29/19% HP marks. This will minimize the amount of turns your party spends frozen.
5. The Lufenia Orb is not lethal but it IS annoying
Don’t think the fight is easy because of the orb isn’t lethal. It is your best interest not trigger it too often. Bring a Fire enchant call like Ignis or Lulu. Beware that Snow In triggers at the 19% HP threshold even if the orb counter is high.
6. Bypassing the HP thresholds
The Diamond Dust Divine will be delayed if you trigger the thresholds while in BURST or Summon. By using this well, you can push from one threshold to the next within the phase, so that Diamond Dust Divine will only trigger 2 times instead of 3 throughout the fight! (Note: Heavy off-turn damage is required for this strategy.)
