Fight Overview
- 4 Waves, 3 Orbs, 3 Teams. This is the standard now. Get used to it.
- JP did have super synergy here. Unlike the last two, this fight is tuned around that. Prepare.
- This is a No-Fly zone. Again. Wave 2 and 4 are Launch immune.
- All Bosses are Imperil-immune
Wave 1 – Crust Beetle x2
- Bosses have a powerful brv+HP that ignores brv mitigation
- IF YOU GET BROKEN, YOU WILL DIE
- It’s literally Vincent Luf lmao
- Counterplay: Poison/Sap/Trey for orb. Off-turn damage to help BR counter. A tank is nice to not die.
- Orb Synergy: Trey, Sherlotta
Orb details
Lufenia Orb (if it reaches 0 = game over)
1st: Orb count: 20, appears at wave start, never disappears
Increase: by 10 when that boss takes BRV damage from debuff effects (max: 25)
Wave 2 – Guard Scorpion x2
- Thar be HP damage here
- When Orb starts, 99k brv gain and full debuff cleanse
- Counterplay: Heal. Be ready to shave. Boss Rush stuff.
- Orb Synergy: Y’shtola
Orb details
Lufenia Orb (if it reaches 0 = game over)
1st: Orb count: 20, appears at 80% HP, never disappears
Increase: by 5 for each of your characters that recovers at least 50% HP with an ability (max: 20)
Wave 3 – Celestial x2
- This is your free wave. Abuse it.
- Heavy random ST HP damage. If you get broken you’re probably dead
- Counterplay: Heal. Tank if you want. Boss Rush stuff.
Wave 4 – Needlesnake x2
- Naturally Ice-weak
- Melee resist, and you cannot cheese this with non-Ice enchant because immune.
- Enrages automatically if affected by 4+ debuffs. Do not inflict 4 debuffs at once
- Grants itself 3 of the Sharp Spines status at thresholds and off-turn.
— When Broken, stack reduces by 1 until it hits 0 (it’s then dispelled) and the boss does a brv gain.
— Benefits include: stats up (I), HP poison aura (II), HP damage reduction (III) - Counterplay: Mind your debuffs. Freeze brv gains or bring Big Shave.
- Orb Synergy: All Synergy inflict 1-2 debuffs. Wakka and Setzer also help with mechanics.

Lufenia Orb (if it reaches 0 = game over)
1st: Orb count: 18, appears at wave start, never disappears
Increase: by 2 when that boss is afflicted by 2 or more debuffs (max: 20)
